Spiritual Journey in Brazil

July 26- August 09: Rio de Janeiro - Ilha Grande - Petrópolis

 

Carlos Sauer and Nello Ceccon invite you to get to know the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where Carlos grew up, and to meet his Brazilian Indian brothers from the Fulni-ô tribe. We will participate in their rituals and ceremonies in the heart of the Ilha Grande - the Big Island – a short two hour boat trip from Rio’s coast.

 

In this Spiritual Journey, we will experience several ceremonies, such as ancient body painting, sacred dances, fire circles and a lot of singing with the Fulni-ô tribe from Brazil. We will also have the opportunity to participate in singing and drumming lessons, Sweat Lodge ceremonies and to receive private healing sessions with Sylina, Carlos and his Brazilian native relations.

 

The trip begins in Rio de Janeiro, the ‘Wonderful City’, where we will do some sightseeing and visit incredible places like the Corcovado (Jesus Christ statue), Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf), and Floresta da Tijuca (the biggest urban forest in the world). Of course, we will visit the wonderful beaches of Rio de Janeiro and we will end this Spiritual Journey in the imperial city of Petrópolis.

 

While in Petropolis, we will visit historical sites like the Palácio de Cristal (Cristal Palace), Museu Imperial (Imperial Museum) and the Catedral São Pedro de Alcântara (São Pedro de Alcântara Cathedral). We will stay at the hotel Pousada Mata Atlântica dos Sauer, a comfortable and sweet lodging place where Carlos and his family spent most of their weekends and vacation time. This is the perfect place for resting after all this trip and preparing to come back home.

COST

The cost of the Spiritual Journey in Brazil, July 2015 is 2800 euros, excluding airfare.

 

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY

A deposit of 500 euros is required to reserve your place on the Journey by May 25th, 2015. Deposits are non-refundable after June 30th, 2015.

After your deposit is made, a payment of 1300 euros will be due on June 30th, 2015. The last payment of 1.000 euros will be due in Brazil upon your arrival. We need you to bring it in cash, please.

THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY IN BRAZIL FEE INCLUDES:

  • All the double/triple accommodations in Rio de Janeiro, Ilha Grande and Petrópolis

  • All Transfers to and from the airport in Rio

  • All transportation associated with the itinerary

  • All meals (excluding soda and/or liquor) unless touring on your own itinerary

  • All activities in Rio de Janeiro, Ilha Grande and Petrópolis

  • All entrance fees of places we are going to visit in this journey

  • Support for your healing process

 

 

THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY IN BRAZIL FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE:

  • Airfares, baggage and additional travel fees

  • Charges for obtaining your US Passport and Brazilian Tourist Visa

  • Accident and/or health insurance. Please double-check and make sure your medical insurance covers you while you are touring in Brazil. (We do have medical assistance and free clinic in Brazil in case of any emergency).

  • Any expenses with transportation not included in the itinerary

  • Tips to tour guides, drivers and hotel personnel

  • Beverages such as soda or liquor/alcohol

  • Room service, phone calls and laundry

  • Any expenses of a purely personal nature

  • Private healing and massage sessions

  • Any rituals or ceremonies from the North and/or South American indigenous people offered during the Spiritual Journey in Brazil are completely free of charge (donations are always welcome!)

 

 

* IN ACCORDANCE WITH NATIVE AMERICAN TRADITION, THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR ANY CEREMONIES ASSOCIATED WITH SPIRITUAL JOURNEY IN BRAZIL. ANY AND ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY FOR LODGING, MEALS, TRANSPORTATION AND ANY FEES ASSOCIATED WHILE TOURING BRAZIL.
